Cambodia recently is considered a next key growth market of breeding success in Asia. It has emerged as one of the fastest growing countries in Asia with annual GDP growth rate over 7 %. Increase in meat consumption has seen a sharp increase in aquaculture and modern animal husbandry production. In line with this growth, feed production has also enjoyed strong growth. In spite of many hurdles intensive livestock production in Cambodia starts to develop, most of the initiatives and investments are driven by foreign companies and there are no veterinary medicine manufacturer in Cambodia now.
Hosted by Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries Cambodia, Agri – Livestock – Aqua fisheries Expo 2016 took place at Phnom Penh Hotel on 8th-9th of August. It was a platform for entrepreneurs to catch up opportunities for expanding business and see the latest innovations, network with key buyers, and gain an overview of market trends all under one roof.
